Pedram Zohrevand has Completed M.Sc., B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering

Pedram Zohrevand has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Florida International University, Miami, Florida. His dissertation topic was “Seismic Behavior of Novel Structures Made of Advanced Construction Materials”. He has completed his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran and B.Sc. in the same field from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran.

Pedram Zohrevand has over 10 years of experience in design, construction, management and leadership. He has strong expertise in structural analysis and design of various residential and commercial buildings and seismic assessment and retrofit of existing structures. He is a registered professional Engineer in the State of California and Florida. At present, he is the Director of CES4, having two offices in Florida and California. He takes care of the management of all design services in structural and civil areas. It also includes the project management and construction inspection.

Prior to this, Pedram was the Assistant City Engineer at City of Fort Lauderdale, where he was responsible for managing the professional engineering work in the Public Works Department-Engineering Division. He managed the engineering division and supervised all the engineering and architectural services throughout the city. This also includes planning, permitting, design and construction of the city’s buildings, roadways, and bridges.

Pedram Zohrevand has been serving as the Research Assistant Professor at Florida International University since 2012, where he has conducted diverse research and development projects. As the Professor of Civil Engineering, he has developed and taught a graduate course, titled Strengthening and Rehabilitation of Structures using Advanced Composites, over the last few years.

Pedram Zohrevand also worked as a consultant with different governmental (such as DOTs, Cites, and Miami-Dade and Broward Counties) and private entities, which provides planning, design, permitting, and construction management services. He is proficient in computer skills, such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, MATLAB, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RAM and many more.
