Pedram Zohrevand Manages and Conducts Structural Engineering Projects

Have you ever heard about structural engineering? It is a type of engineering that deals directly with the structural integrity and strength of buildings. Therefore, all the construction projects demand structural engineering in order to withstand the demands that will be placed on their structures. This engineering is founded on the principles of physics and maths. According to it, structures should be designed in such a way that they can withstand their own weight as well as loads and pressures that will be placed on them. It is the responsibility of the structural engineers to provide crucial information about the types of roofs, foundations, floors, material quality and framing. Without a structural engineer, the building runs the risk of collapsing under its own weight.

Thus, all the residential and commercial buildings always need a person who has hands on experience in the structural analysis. One such name is Pedram Zohrevand who has great expertise in structural analysis and design of different residential and commercial buildings with concrete, steel, wood and hybrid systems.

Pedram Zohrevand did his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Florida International University, Miami. Earlier, he completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Isfahan University Technology, Isfahan, Iran, and M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran.

Talking about his skills, besides his hands on experience in structural analysis, Pedram Zohrevand has a strong expertise in dynamic analysis and seismic design of different structural systems. Additionally, he has a long-term experience in working with different structural design codes. Moreover, he has an advanced knowledge and expertise in nonlinear finite modeling and seismic simulation of especial and complex structures. Apart from all this, he has extensive experience in seismic retrofit and rehabilitation of structures.

Currently, Pedram Zohrevand is working as a principal structural engineer in CES4 where he is responsible for managing and conducting all the structural engineering projects including the assessment, design and rehabilitation of different residential and commercial buildings.

Pedram Zohrevand has Served as the Assistant City Engineer at the City of Fort Lauderdale

Pedram Zohrevand is the director at CES4. Prior to this, he was the Assistant City Engineer at the City of Fort Lauderdale. He was responsible for managerial and professional engineering work in the Public Works Department Engineering Division.
